Nikon: DS-2M

Nov. 01, 2005

Nikon: DS-2M. Built on the success of the DS-5M networkable camera, and produced in direct response to constantly evolving digital imaging demands, the new Nikon DS-2M is the digital alternative to analogue and at 30 fps complements a wide range of illumination techniques including brightfield, darkfield, and fluorescence to name but a few. As well as the DS-2M camera, the Nikon Coolscope will also be exhibited at this years IBMS Congress. In a simple all-in-one design, it includes all functions necessary for observation, image capture and network communications; transcending the existing concept of a microscope. As it has no eyepieces, images are displayed on a screen and once an area of interest on a slide has been selected, it can simply be captured with the click of a mouse.
