Ted Pella, announced the distribution for the YPS (York Probe Sources) Schottky Field Emission Sources. The YPS Schottky or thermal field emission (TFE) sources can be used in many brands of focused electron beam systems including SEM, TEM, Auger and CD-SEM systems.
The YPS TFE sources are an excellent and cost effective drop-in replacement for existing TFE sources. The source comes as a complete assembly including the pre-centered cathode and a cylindrical suppressor electrode. Normal lifetime for that sources is around 8000 hrs. The product is aimed at customers with limited budgets and who are comfortable with changing their TFE source in a clean environment The most popular of this products are the YPS-174 which is compatible with TFE sources for Hitachi, JEOL, ZEISS/LEO, FEI and Amray and the YPS-184 which is compatible with the FEI SSEM unit and Tescan FESEMs. Ted Pella offers a full range of SEM, FIB and microscopy supplies to a growing customer base.
