The Progres Gryphax Kapella color camera, Rigel monochrome and flagship Prokyon cameras complete Jenoptik's USB 3.0 product series for scientific use.

The first of these have been developed specifically for scientific applications in difficult lighting conditions and are equipped with the latest CMOS sensor technology that gives a high level of quantum efficiency and considerable dynamic range coupled with very low noise. Active sensor cooling for exposure times of up to two minutes is no longer required. The company is continuing to invest in microscanning and color co-site sampling technologies so that true colors can now be determined at speeds never previously achieved. The operating software included for Macintosh, Windows and Linux OS is tailored precisely to the requirements and workflows of the user.
