Silicon Photomultipliers from SensL –

High Signal/Noise Ratio, Low Voltage Operation and Uniformity

Sep. 06, 2011

SensL has introduced MicroSL and ArraySL, the second-generation SL family of Silicon Photomultipliers (SPM).

Key Features
o High Signal/Noise Ratio
o Low Voltage Operation of 30 V
o Uniformity: +/- 10%

Application Fields
o Medical Imaging
o Hazard and Threat Detection
o Biophotonics
o Light Detection And Ranging

MicroSL Detector
o 1mm and 3mm pixels with microcell sizes ranging from 20 to 100 microns
o ideal for coupling to scintillator crystals
o available in a number of industry standard packages, and some parts include an integrated Peltier cooler

ArraySL Scalable SPM Arrays
o 16 or 144 3mm pixels in ceramic packages
o designed for use in imaging applications, where a linear or 2D array is needed to capture the image
o non-magnetic packaging
o small edge clearances
o ideal for PET scanning
