PicoQuant has added two laser heads emitting at 395 nm and 420 nm to its LDH Series.
Both laser heads are ideal for exciting e.g. porphyrin or phthalocyanin containing samples in fluorescence microscopy or fluorescence spectroscopy. With pulse durations as short as 70 ps, they are match the time resolution of mainstream detectors, yet at a price much lower than of mode-locked lasers or nanosecond flashlamps. The two laser heads are also available in a dual mode version that allows picosecond pulsed as well as continuous-wave operation.
Technical Specification of LDH-P-C-395
° Center Wavelength 395 nm ± 10 nm
° Repetition rate from single shot to 40 MHz
° Pulse width < 70 ps (FWHM) at average power 1.0 mW at 40 MHz repetition rate
° Pulse width < 300 ps (FWHM) at average power 5.0 mW at 40 MHz repetition rate
° Average output power in continuous-wave mode: 30 mW
Technical Specification of LDH-P-C-420
° Center Wavelength 420 nm ± 10 nm
° Repetition rate from single shot to 40 MHz
° Pulse width < 70 ps (FWHM) at average power 0.7 mW at 40 MHz repetition rate
° Pulse width < 300 ps (FWHM) at average power 5.0 mW at 40 MHz repetition rate
° Average output power in continuous-wave mode: 30 mW
The number of PicoQuant's available laser heads now covers the entire wavelength range from 375 nm to 1990 nm.
