Dichroics and Filters for FACS Systems

To adjust new lasers and dyes in FACS systems it will be necessary to mount new dichroics and bandpass filters. Many systems allow an easy change of these optical filters in their system (FACS Aria, MoFlo, CyFlow....) by means of changing the filterholder. AHF analysentechnik AG offers these specific dichroics for many laser applications as well as dye specific narrowband bandpass filters, blocked against laser light from all different laser sources.

Tunable Optical Filters

Tunable Optical Filters

By adjusting the angle of incidence the new series of Semrock VersaChrome filters change their spectral performance to shorter wavelength. But in contrast to "normal" interference filters, there is no change in transmission intensity (>90%) and blocking specifications, they are also polarization insensitive with high imaging optical quality. The tuning can done between 0 and 60 degrees, which results in a center wavelength change of approximately 60 nm. Five different VersaChrome filters are available from 390-700nm, ideal tools for fluorescence spectroscopy. more
Stable Output Lightsource

Stable Output Lightsource

To accurately quantitate sequential fluorescence images, it is essential that the output of your light source remains constant between exposures. The PhotoFluor II offers unsurpassed output stability (controlled by direct current) over both the short and long term (up to 1500 hours). It´s no big deal to fit the PhotoFluor II lamp to any fluorescence microscope model, no adjustments necessary. As far as the light will be transferred via light guide, there will be no direct heat transfer to the microscope. more
Angle Tolerant Dichroics

Angle Tolerant Dichroics

The spectral data of interference filters are by nature very dependent on the angle of incidence. Typically the dichroics are defined for the 45 degrees angle of incidence (AOI). AHF analysentechnik offers dichroics for special geometries like 11 degrees AOI. Small optical systems often require dichroics with non- typical data, such as 31 to 59 degrees angle of incidence (e.g. defined by the optical data of the lenses) AHF analysentechnik offers different versions of angle tolerant dichroics: The spectral shift will just be half as wide as in comparable standard dichroic designs. more
Laser Multiband Filtersets

High End Optical Filters for Biophysics

Single molecule experiments, multiphoton spectroscopy or TIRF microscopy require optical filters perfectly matched to the corresponding laser lines.
Clean-up filters, dichroics and emitters for solid laser, gas lasers and laserdiodes made with high end optical filter technology will be offered from AHF analysentechnik AG. The company will offer best support for optimizing complex spectroscopic setups with the long time experience in specifying filter components. New products for multiline laser applications offer new chances. more
Ca2+ Imaging

Ca2+ Imaging

Effective fluorescence imaging of Ca2+ signals requires special filters for excitation of Fura 2 in UV at 340 nm and 380 nm. New hardcoated exciters with 95% transmission for ratio measurements are now available from AHF analysentechnik. Also emission filters with more than 95% transmission will enable maximum of signal intensity. Combining of GFP excitation and Fura 2 imaging can be done as well by using special filter set-ups. These filters can be mounted in all the different cubes of microscopes. more

Creating Individual Filtersets

Creating Individual Filtersets. Optical filters made by the hardcoating technique from AHF Analysentechnik show extrem high transmission, high thermal stability and are easy to handle. The company presents a wide program also of single filters and beamsplitters which can be combined to individual filtersets, avoiding high costs for custom specification. The company offers to handle the detailed requests of difficult optical setups. Wherever possible, Demofilters will be offered for testing at the customers’ samples. more
