Dr. Donal Denvir, co-founder of Andor Technology has been recognized with a gold medal from the Institute of Physics. The Business and Innovation medal of the Institute of Physics is awarded to individuals for outstanding contributions to the organisation or application of physics in an industrial or commercial context. Dr Denvir's award in recognition for his role in founding Andor Technology which manufactures high-performance digital cameras, and for leading an R&D programme.

Conor Walsh: Andor Technology Appoints New CEO - Conor Walsh (40) has been appointed Chief Executive Officer at Andor Technology. He joined the company in 2002 as Finance Director and Company Secretary. Conor Walsh was closely involved in the company's listing on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange in 2004 and in the acquisitions of Multichannel Instruments in 2002 and Kinetic Imaging in 2004. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and a Chartered Director.

This is a new type of camera enabling faster detection, ultimate sensitivity and speed for more accurate spectroscopy results. The camera is available in a range of Andor exclusive EMCCD sensors.
