Customers may view their samples during modification and analysis at the nanometer level, live over a web-based video conferencing facility. This powerful visual aid is combined with a simultaneous audio link which allows the real time collaboration between a nano-researcher and the expert FIB operator processing their samples. Omniprobe Acquires Assets of Ascend Instruments. Omniprobe announced that they have acquired the assets of Ascend Instruments. This company provides hardware and software for sample preparation and manipulation in the Focused Ion Beam (FIB) microscope. In the near term, its product line will be manufactured at Omniprobeā€˜s Dallas, Texas, facility. In addition, Omniprobe has been selected by Entrepreneur magazine for their "Hot 500" Fastest Growing Companies in the U.S. The Hot 500 rankings are based on company performance and sales growth. more
