New, Cooled, Miniatured, Infrared

Hamamatsu Photonics announced the thermo-electrically cooled near IR modules. The modules, which are a further addition to the mini-spectrometer modules range, utilise a transmission grating optical arrangement to provide high optical throughput and very high sensitivity. The spectrometer modules consist of a palm-top size polychromator with integrated optical elements, an InGaAs linear image sensor optimised for the required wavelength range and a driver circuit and integrated USB interface to allow simple PC connection and data acquisition. more
