Laser Fluorescence Filters

A collaboration between Cobolt and Semrock, has resulted in the development of optical filters optimized for use with the Cobolt Mambo 594 nm orange laser in fluorescence instrumentation. To realize the benefits of this new laser wavelength, optical filters that are designed with matched spectral properties are needed. Semrock has announced a number of new filters designed specifically for instrumentation based on the 594 nm laser, and ideal for excitation and detection of Texas Red, Alexa Fluor 594, and the popular new fluorescent proteins mCherry and mKate. more

Ca2+ Imaging

Effective fluorescence imaging of Ca2+ signals requires special filters for excitation of Fura 2 in UV at 340 nm and 380 nm. New hardcoated exciters with 95% transmission for ratio measurements are now available from AHF analysentechnik. Also emission filters with more than 95% transmission will enable maximum of signal intensity. Combining of GFP excitation and Fura 2 imaging can be done as well by using special filter set-ups. These filters can be mounted in all the different cubes of microscopes. more

Semrock Optical Filters

Semrock Optical Filters. Semrock has announced new filters for the efficient isolation of individual lines of highpower mercury arc lamps. Each filter obtains maximum throughput of the desired mercury line through passband transmission and optimization of the filter design. The non-absorbing blocking and fused silica substrate ensures that undesired mercury lines and other background light are effectively eliminated without the risk of filter solarization. more

AHF Analysentechnik: Optical Filters

AHF Analysentechnik: Optical Filters. AHF Analysentechnik offers his service as specialist in configuration of filter setups in the wide field of advanced fluorescence microscopy and spectroscopy. These applications comprise optical filters for single and multiple stainings, time lapse, FRET, FlIM, FCS, single molecule, multiphoton, and TIRFM. Each component will be specified regarding blocking characteristics with respect to the instrument equipment (e.g. OD 6 blocking of laser lines) as well as special surface quality requests for beamsplitters (e.g. more
