TILL Photonics Introduces Intravital 2P: An Upright Two Photon Microscope

TILL Photonics has introduced Intravital2P, an upright two photon microscope platform which is specifically designed to meet the demands for functional in vivo or intravital imaging in live animal.
The Intravital2P features a non-descanned detection scheme based on two high-sensitive GaAsP PMTS with equivalent collection efficiency. more

Extend the Capability of FLIM Measurement

The Fluorescence Lifetime (FLIM) upgrade kit from PicoQuant has been further improved and is now also available for the new two photon confocal microscope from Olympus, the FluoView FV1000MPE with non-descanned detection (NDD). The upgrade kit extends the capabilities of the microscope towards time-resolved FLIM measurements with a temporal resolution down to picoseconds and allows users to perform various analysis on this time scale. more

Function of a Neglected Structure in Neurons Revealed

Fifty years after it was originally discovered, scientists at the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research have elucidated the function of a microscopic network of tubules found in neurons. This structure modulates the strength of connections between two neurons, thereby contributing to our ability to learn and to adapt to new situations. more
