VersaChrome
Feb. 23, 2010
By adjusting the angle of incidence the new series of Semrock VersaChrome filters change their spectral performance to shorter wavelength. But in contrast to "normal" interference filters, there is no change in transmission intensity (>90%) and blocking specifications, they are also polarization insensitive with high imaging optical quality. The tuning can done between 0 and 60 degrees, which results in a center wavelength change of approximately 60 nm. Five different VersaChrome filters are available from 390-700nm, ideal tools for fluorescence spectroscopy.
