Awarding of the Ernst Ruska Price 2011 to Johan Verbeeck and David Mastronarde

Ernst Ruska Awardees of 2011 are Dr. Johan Verbeeck for his work on "EELS quantification and electron vortex beams" and Prof. Dr. David Mastronarde for "a versatile software for tomographic reconstruction of electron microscopy data sets". The prize-giving took place at the opening session of the Microscopy Conference in Kiel, Germany on August 29 and was done by the president of the German Society of electron microscopy Prof. Dr. Reinhard Rachel, University of Regensburg, Germany.
