The 65th annual meeting of the Nordic Microscopy Society, SCANDEM 2014, will be held in Linköping, Sweden, from 11-13th of June, 2014. SCANDEM is an internationally renowned meeting for researchers in the field of electron microscopy. The Scandem 2014 meeting is organized in a combination of scientific sessions, a poster session, a workshop and exhibition.
This meeting is primarily aimed at the life and materials scientists, active in the field of electron microscopy but also to scientists in related fields. Being the largest electron microscopy conference in the Nordic region, with most of the local electron microscopy labs represented, the atmosphere is very friendly. Hence, the conference constitutes a platform for informal and interdisciplinary discussions and promotes early career researchers.
Topics will include traditional and new scientific techniques, along with their scientific applications in both life and materials science with a wide range of international and local invited speakers.
The conference site is located in the city center of Linköping, with walking distance to the pre-booked hotels, railway station and 10 minutes by taxi to Linköping airport. The conference also includes a social program with receptions, dinner and study visits, to ensure continued interactions among the delegates.
